Mr Gerald Ngulube kaNcube - Executive Director
Born on 27/01/1975 in Plumtree, Zimbabwe
in a village called Gwambe, married to Bawilili Dube for the past 14 years. I
attend my primary school at Gwambe Primary School and secondary at Bezu Secondary School.
As a young boy
who grew up in the dusty rural area and due to the situation in Zimbabwe most young man in Zimbabwe or should I say in Matabeleland didn’t
see any future there, so the answer was South Africa. I came to South Africa in
1992 and worked with my father in the construction industry. Without papers I
struggled to further my education and it was hard at the time because South Africa was burning, I remember being
arrested several times for not having a passport and at one stage I was
deported back in Zimbabwe. I worked as a car mechanic for seven years which
included panel beating. In 2001 I started working at a Shell petrol station in Sandhurst as a petrol attended and cashier. I was promoted
to supervisor and then manager in a space of one year. Did business management, retail and marketing
management with shell in 2003. I am a approved petrol retailer with a Shell
franchisee certificate. Between 2001 and current I have been in charge and
managed successfully businesses, I managed Sandhurst shell, Dalpark Shell, Hyde park Shell, Rosetenville Shell and currently at
Parkhurst Shell. I was also a Retail Director for Revelation Luggage and Leather
in charge of their retail division which had three retail stores. Revelation
Luggage is one of the biggest promotional luggage manufacture in South Africa.Apart from that in 2007 my wife Bawilili Dube and I
started a music group called Gwambe Stars. I also co own GLM
Entertainment with my wife and my brother in law Mbangiseni Ncube. GLM
Entertainment market artists and promote them local and international,record up and coming artists and do video production. We have
worked with Chase Skuza, Mokis Connection, Tongai Moyo, Freddie Gwala, Platform
one and Malaika which we accompanied to UK. GLM will now organize weddings,
birthday parties and any other event apart from music promotion. My dream is to see our
region develop in all sectors, to see Radio Mthwakazi broadcasting in
Mthwakazi, Zimbabwe in all the languages spoken in the Mthwakazi region.Ngokwakithi Lokhu.
